About Emma
Welcome. My name is Emma Walker. I am a professional Funeral Celebrant with more than ten years of experience in leading personal, meaningful funeral ceremonies.
When we lose a family member or close friend, there are often so many emotions to deal with, and then so many decisions to make. And we always want to do the best we can, to prepare the best possible send off, the most fitting tribute, to find our way of showing our affection and respect. These days, you can choose to have the funeral service the way you want it to be. By choosing me to be your Funeral Celebrant, I will create a service just as you wish – modern, traditional, humanist, religious, non-religious, buddhist, spiritual, or a blend of your choice. It’s up to you.
You can include any music or songs that you like, and perhaps a reading or poem that reminds you of your loved one. I will work alongside your Funeral Director to create the goodbye that you feel would be most fitting.

Perhaps you are looking ahead and wish to pre-arrange your own funeral, to give yourself peace of mind that your life will be celebrated in the way of your choosing. Please contact me if you wish to discuss any of these options further.

Service Title #2
Once you have chosen a date for the funeral with your Funeral Director, I will then arrange to meet with you at your home.
At this meeting we will talk and I will start to build a picture of the person you have lost. In this way, I can choose the words that will celebrate the life that they lived, and express our sorrow at their passing. The tone, the style of funeral is completely up to you.We can discuss choices of music or songs that you would like to be played at the funeral, and perhaps some poems or readings. The choice is yours. I will then write a personalised funeral service that reflects the life of the person you have lost.
Service Title #3
When ready, I will send you a written copy of this script so that you can check to see it’s exactly what you wanted.
In addition to leading a ceremony prior to cremation, I can also provide a ceremony for burial at a graveside or natural burial ground.

Hi Emma
I just wanted to say thank you for thoughtful delivery at my Grandmother’s service on Monday.
Everyone said what a lovely funeral it was and that you did a really great job, even my Great Aunt, who doesn’t agree with women in those types of roles (don’t ask me why….she is very old skool), so that is high praise indeed and I wanted to pass that on.
Many thanks

Dear Emma,
We just wanted to say thank you for Irene’s service on Wednesday.
Everyone has commented on the words and your interpretation and delivery, if that’s the right word. We now understand why Neil recommended you and why you are so busy.
Thank you again for helping make a difficult day go so well for us.

Morning Emma,
I wanted to take a moment to say thanks.
Thank you for presenting Dad’s story so well. I know he would’ve appreciated your clarity and the dignity with which you shared it.
Dad was a caring man and he spent a lot of his time giving to others, supporting and thinking of them. He touched many people and the family and friends who turned out to say their last farewell is testament to that. From our whole family thank you for what you did at the celebration of Dad’s life.
I would also like to say thank you personally. It was very difficult for me to share Dad’s life when we chatted, but you were patient and considerate in your listening. Thank you, it made the whole process easier.
regards

Hi Emma
I just want to write and say how grateful I was to have you hold my Dad’s funeral last week, everything went very well and the eulogy you wrote was just perfect. You have such a wonderful way with words and you are so professional whilst being very personal and made this whole process so much easier for me.
Everyone at the wake said what a brilliant job you had done. It was a really hard day but hearing you talk about my Dad’s life was lovely.
Thank you so much again

Dear Emma
It is impossible to find the words to express my gratitude to you for the way you conducted my precious boy’s celebration of life service. It was simply perfect, your warm nature, experience, guidance and professionalism shone through.
Also want to thank you for standing close to me while I read my tribute to H. That unspoken but visible support helped me make it through the hardest speech I will ever make.
You will always be a huge part of H’s final journey, so thank you Emma.
Lots of Love
L.
Dear Emma,
Thank you so much for last Thursday.
A lot of B’s friends who spoke to me after his service commented on their amazement on how well you spoke about Bob’s life. They all very much enjoyed hearing it. Spoken with friendliness, calmness and familiarity, and how you vocalised Bob so well. You had a mini fan club for a while there. It gave me a very warm smile within.
I noted you keeping a close eye on my brother, it was really reassuring, and obvious you most certainly had his back, in a nano second.
Thank you so much for putting it all together, and guiding me through the majority of the funeral process. It was brilliantly comforting.
It’s something that will stay with me for a long time.
I cannot thank you enough.
Hi Emma,
I just want to drop you a line to say thank you for the way you delivered the service for Shirley. You really did Shirley proud with your interpretation of her life. Everyone thought it was a real tribute and perfect recognition of her.
Many thanks
